Building from the delay and filtering stage of Strega, otherwise known as the Time/Filter Experiment, Bruxa offers its own twists on the concept to make it an excellent player within the context of a fully modular synthesizer.

In simpler terms, Bruxa is a multitap delay with multiple filters placed throughout its feedback paths. Manually turning or modulating the Time control smoothly scales the delays across a variety of time-based effects, with delightfully crunchy audio quality at the slowest ranges. Paired with the Filter, you can dynamically darken the sounds recirculating within Bruxa, with the related Absorb control specifically tuning the spectrum of the feedback paths.

Perhaps even more valuable as a standalone module, Bruxa offers an abundance of CV inputs. Three CV inputs for the delay Time alone, including a linear FM input specifically tuned for flutter-type modulations, give you incredible control over the time and character of your delay patch. Similarly, you'll find bipolar attenuators on CV inputs for all sections: Time, Filter, and Absorb. But unique to Bruxa is the presence of CV outputs, in the spirit of similar outputs found on Erbe-Verb, Morphagene, and the manual touch plates found on Strega. Patch these out to other modules in your system or even back into Bruxa for dynamic, self-patched interactions.

Audio alchemists and modular mages alike will find a variety of sounds within Make Noise's Bruxa, and will surely be a key ingredient to your sonic potions

Bruxa Features

Delay + filter module inspired by Strega

Born from original prototype designs by Make Noise and Alessandro Cortini

Multitap delay blurring the lines between delay and reveb

Wide-ranging delay times

Abundant Time CV inputs with support for audio-rate modulations

Filter + absorb controls to shape general tonal characteristics and persistence of recirculating feedback

Decay control for feedback intensity

New CV outputs for cross-modulations or self-patching

Dry/Wet Blend control

Mono input/output
